Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data we process on this website and in the DF ADR software, why, and what rights you have.

DF ADR – owner: Malte Pusback

2. Website hosting

This website is hosted by Framer B.V., Rozengracht 207B, 1016 LZ Amsterdam, Netherlands. When you visit it, the host processes technically necessary data (including IP address, date and time, page visited, browser and operating system) in server log files in order to provide the website securely and reliably. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). We have a data processing agreement with Framer.

This website does not use cookies for advertising or analytics. Should we use analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy beforehand and ask for your consent where required.

3. Requesting a trial

When you request a trial via the form, we process your e-mail address and chosen language to send you the download link and a personal trial code. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures).

The form is processed by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA); the e-mail is sent via Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA). Both providers are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; data processing agreements with standard contractual clauses are also in place.

We store your e-mail address to prevent abuse (one trial per person) and to help you with questions. We delete it no later than 24 months after the request unless it leads to a purchase. We do not send you marketing e-mails.

4. Purchase and subscription

Purchases are processed by Link (Stripe), acting as reseller (“Merchant of Record”): your purchase contract for the license is concluded with Link (Stripe), which issues the invoice and is responsible for payment, invoicing and sales tax. In addition, these terms apply to the use of the software. For this purpose Link (Stripe) processes the details you provide at checkout (e.g. name, e-mail address, billing address, payment details). The privacy policy of Link (Stripe) applies in addition.

After your purchase you receive your activation code from us or the payment provider. For this we process name, e-mail address, license type and term (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Data relevant for invoicing is kept for the statutory retention periods (up to 10 years, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

5. Data in the DF ADR software

Your projects, scripts and videos stay on your computer. DF ADR does not transfer them to us. The software only connects in the following cases:

Activation and license check: e-mail address, activation code, an anonymous computer ID (irreversible hash of the hardware ID), the computer name (so you can see which computers use a seat) and the program version. This ensures that a license runs on no more than 2 computers. Server: Cloudflare (see above). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Update check: DF ADR asks GitHub (GitHub, Inc., USA) for the latest version. For technical reasons your IP address is transmitted to GitHub. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (informing you about fixes and new versions).
Error reports: only if you explicitly click “Send” after being asked. Transmitted are your description, optionally the program log, operating system, program version, language, license type and the anonymous computer ID. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). We delete reports after 12 months at the latest.

6. Contact by e-mail and cancellation

When you write to us – by e-mail or via the contact, support or cancellation form – we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The forms are transmitted via Cloudflare and delivered to us via Resend (see section 3). For a cancellation we match your e-mail address with your subscription at the payment provider, cancel it there and send you a confirmation. Cancellations are kept as proof until the statutory periods expire.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. An e-mail to us is sufficient.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live.

8. Security

This website and all connections between the software and our servers are TLS-encrypted (https).
